Privacy Policy

• Email address — when you subscribe to our newsletter or price alerts.
• Price alert preferences — product and target price you ask us to monitor (Phase 2 feature).
• Usage data — pages viewed, referring site, browser/device type, and approximate location (country/region, derived from IP address), collected via analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
• Affiliate click data — which product links you click and which retailer you are directed to, used in aggregate to understand which content performs well. This is not linked to your identity unless you are also a newsletter subscriber and click while logged in (Phase 2).
• Cookies — see the Cookies section below.

We do not collect payment information — all purchases happen on third-party retailer websites, not on NeonSeer.

• To track which affiliate partners drive purchases, for our own reporting (not shared with retailers beyond standard affiliate tracking)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on: consent (newsletter sign-up, price alerts) and legitimate interest (aggregate analytics to improve the Site).

We share limited data with:

• Affiliate networks and retail partners (e.g. Commission Factory, Razer, SteelSeries, Drop.com, Epomaker, Amazon Associates AU) — when you click an affiliate link, the retailer/network can see that the click came from NeonSeer, via a standard tracking parameter. They do not receive your email address.
• Service providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database/hosting), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Google Analytics (usage analytics). These providers are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.

We do not sell your personal information.

• Newsletter/price alert emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
• Affiliate click logs are retained for up to 12 months for reporting, then aggregated or deleted.
• Analytics data retention follows Google Analytics' default settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time (unsubscribe link in every email)
• (EU/UK visitors) Request data portability, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
• (California visitors) Request disclosure of data collected and opt out of "sale" of personal information (we do not sell data, so this is not applicable in practice)

We use cookies for:

• Essential functionality — remembering your comparison-tool selections
• Analytics — understanding aggregate site usage (Google Analytics)
• Affiliate tracking — some retailers/networks set their own cookies when you click through, to attribute the referral to NeonSeer

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features (e.g. the comparison tool).

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access-controlled, encrypted database storage (Supabase). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

NeonSeer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Our hosting and service providers (Supabase, Vercel, Resend, Google) may store or process data outside Australia. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
